I-5 Weaver - Bundle 306 Section
Pacific Highway - Douglas County
Myrtle Creek, Oregon
This project replaced six bridges and repaired two more along I-5 in the Southern Oregon-Myrtle Creek area, between milepost 103 and 110 and upgraded the a northbound on-ramp at the Riddle interchange.
Interesting Factoid: The major success on this project was fast track scheduling which ultimately resulted in the project being completed 18 months early. The benefit to the owner was an 18-month reduction in project management administration costs. Even more significant was the savings to motor carriers who were no longer forced to make a 200-mile detour to avoid load restricted bridges.
