Oregon Map of Hamilton project

Victory Blvd. to Lombard Ave.

Portland, Oregon

Start Date: April 2008
End Date: October 2010
Owner: Oregon Dept of Transportation

Hamilton Construction was general contractor for this project which involved adding lanes to a 1.25 mile segment of Oregon's Interstate-5 between Victory Blvd. and Lombard St. in North Portland. The project involved widening two existing I-5 bridges which span Columbia Slough, Columbia Boulevard (a major industrial arterial), and a line of the Union Pacific Rail Road (UPRR).

Interesting Factoid: As the West Coast's major interstate transportation and freight corridor, I-5 is critical to the local, regional and national economy – and also one of the heaviest traveled. Hamilton delivered the project ahead of schedule and $5 million under budget with more than 120,000 vehicles passing through the project site daily.
