The project entails concrete repairs to nearly 14 miles of freeway between Drain and Cottage Grove on the north end of the project. The remaining work is structural repairs, reinforcement and upgrades to six bridges between Rice Hill and Drain.
Interesting Factoid: The job was let to contract with significant impacts to truck and freight mobility on the I-5 corridor between Cottage Grove and Yoncalla. We are currently working with OBDP and ODOT on changes in work methods and plans to reduce those impacts while at the same time reducing the overall cost of the project.
