Hamilton Construction is building the bridges along Segment 4 of the new 32-mile rail line that will connect Alaska's deep draft docks at Port Mackenzie with the chief rail route of the Alaska Rail Road system, tying in at Houston, Alaska. Port Mackenzie is located about five miles due north of Anchorage across the Knik Arm on the Cook Inlet. Segment 4 will include construction of approximately 8.0 miles of new railroad embankment, installing three new ballast deck railway bridges and a fish passage culvert.
