The work is part of the Oregon Department of Transportation's I-5 McKenzie River to Goshen Grade project. Hamilton Construction, based in Springfield, Oregon, is the lead contractor for the project. Hamilton will replace five bridges and repair two more during the next three years to ensure the safe and free flow of traffic along the I-5 corridor.
Interesting Factoid: The MRG job has received many commendations from state and local environmental groups for its commitment and success in addressing water quality issues related to the jobs work in and about the McKenzie River considered one of the country's best fly fishing streams.
