Colorado Dam Safe Passage Project
Start Date: April 2014
End Date: Fall 2015
This CM/GC project involves the modification of the existing Colorado Dam on the Deschutes River in Bend, Oregon. The primary goal of the project is to allow for safe passage of rafters and people floating the Deschutes. Project also involves habitat restoration on the river and construction of a white water park for kayakers. Hamilton worked closely with Bend Parks & Recreation and OTAK, Inc. to help design the project. Construction began in April of 2014 and occurred during two in-water work windows. This challenging job, with the kayak run being the first of its kind in Oregon, will be completed by Fall 2015.
