Hamilton's I-5 Willamette River Bridge – Whilamut Passage Named Best Construction Project in the Pacific Northwest for 2014 by ENR
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Said Firth, "This project was special in every way: It was beautifully engineered, skillfully constructed, environmentally forward, and sensitive to the heritage and rich culture of the Pacific Northwest. From the start, this project had a special feeling about it. I think all of us who worked on this team will look back on this project as one of our favorite. We would like to thank the Oregon Department of Transportation, OBEC Engineering, the community and the skilled subcontractors and workers who worked with us to create this legacy.
Added O'Connor, "I also want to thank everyone on the team for their commitment to making this a safe project. Hamilton employees had only one injury during the five years of the project and we're proud of that accomplishment. A safety record like that takes the ownership from everyone on the job. A big thank you to ENR for recognizing the team's commitment to safety."
Now – the I-5 Willamette River Bridge project moves on to ENR's competition for the "Best of the Best" Projects in the nation.
